NEW VIDEO TO FEATURE GIST PIANO CENTER AND THE LEXINGTON PHILHARMONIC
LOUISVILLE, Ky., Dec. 9 – As part of Gist Piano Center’s 40th Anniversary celebration, Gist has released a new YouTube video featuring Kelly Whelan, General Manager, and Scott Terrell, Musical Director and Conductor of The Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra. The second video in Gist’s “A History of Service” series, the video describes the importance of strong musical entities like Gist Piano Center and The Philharmonic to the fabric of the Lexington community.
“As both institutions have stood for – in their history and in their mission – artistic excellence,” said Scott Terrell, “it’s a natural partnership for us and it’s nice to have such a high quality musical family in Lexington.”
Partnering in countless educational and artistic endeavors, Gist Piano Center and The Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra are working more closely today than ever before.
“Our mission is to work with our community partners and build a musical future for Lexington,” said Ron Gist. “The Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra is Eastern Kentucky’s Premier musical institution and we’re honored to serve them – and through them – serve the Lexington Musical Community.”
The new video will premiere on the Gist YouTube Channel at www.youtube.com/user/gistpianocenter on Friday, December 9. New videos will appear every two weeks throughout December and January as Gist completes its “A History of Service” series – celebrating Gist Piano Center’s 40th Anniversary.
“We want to acknowledge the role our relationship with these folks played in shaping our business model,” said John Gist, President and son of Company Founder, Ron Gist. “The ‘History of Service’ videos will feature rare interviews with the heads of these organizations and even a nostalgic word or two from my dad.”
